How to Get Started With Pixie

You’ve found Pixie! We’re so glad you’re here!

Getting started with Pixie is easy and only takes a few simple steps.

Creating your Pixie account

After downloading the Pixie app, go to “Sign up” and input your information. After putting in your phone number, you’ll receive a verification text that has a code to help you get logged in. We use verification text messages to ensure your account is kept secure so only you can access your account.

After creating your account, you’ll be prompted with welcome screens that tell you a little bit more about the Pixie app. If you have a partner, we highly encourage you to invite them to download Pixie and join your Household! Doing so will allow you and your partner to get started setting up your family system together from the start.

Setting up your profile

To take advantage of all of Pixie’s features, finish setting up your profile by going to the Account page. To access the Account page, tap on the user icon found at the top right of the main My boards page.

Next, navigate to Manage account.

On this page, you can:

  1. Add your profile picture
    A profile picture is important so that anytime you're sharing a board or an item with anyone, they know who you are!

  2. Add your email address
    An email is important to add an additional layer of verification should you ever need it in the future. It also gives you access to helpful Pixie tips we send through email.

  3. Select a color theme
    You can customize your Pixie account to match your own style! Choose the color theme you would like your boards to use.

    NOTE: Some color themes are only available to Premium users. If you’d like to use a Premium color theme, you can upgrade directly in the app!

Pixie Tips board

Back on the main My boards page, you’ll find the Pixie Tips board. This is a board we've created for you to help you get started!

Inside, you'll find a video from Liz, founder of Pixie, who walks you through her personal Pixie account and how she uses it for her family.

Pixie is completely customizable to how you want to set up your own family system and organize your own boards.

Now’s a perfect time to try out the other features in the app! Feel free to check off the items found in the pre-made checklist under the Pixie Tips board as you get familiar with the app.
