How to Create and Use Boards

The magic of Pixie comes from offloading the Mental Load of family management into a beautifully organized system you create. Pixie is robust and flexible, allowing you to organize your family information exactly how you want. This is all possible using boards!

Visual folders

Boards are visual folders that hold your family's content. Anything from notes, pictures, and screenshots, to scanned documents and websites. It literally will feel like creating a second brain for everything!

Having your family content organized visually in colored boards reduces the mental effort it takes to find whatever you’re looking for.

Create boards

Creating boards in Pixie is easy. We recommend making boards for the general areas of your family life, like your Kids, Home, Yard, Medical, Recipes, Confidential Documents, and more.

You can create boards in two ways:

  1. Simply use the “Add” button to create your own and give it a name.

  2. Or, use the suggestions at the bottom of the My boards page.

There’s no greater peace of mind than knowing you have a space for every area of your family life!

Start where you are

Don’t get hung up thinking about all the family content you want to add to Pixie. You don’t have to create your entire board system from the start. Using Pixie is a step-by-step process. So start with whatever is most pressing or urgent for you and then go from there. Additionally, you can rename boards or move existing ones if you’re ever needing to re-organize.
