How to Change Board Colors and Themes

Pixie is designed to help you find information quickly. Having colored boards allows your mind more easily associate and remember where certain content lives.

Change board colors

Anytime you create a new board in Pixie, a color is automatically assigned to it. You can keep this color as is, or choose your own.

To change board colors:

1. Tap the 3 dot menu on the board

2. Choose the “Edit board” option

3. Select the color you want

Change board themes

By default, your color theme is set as the Pixie theme. This works for a lot of people, but if you prefer, you can choose your own theme!

To change board themes:

1. Navigate to your account settings

2. Go to the Manage account page

3. Select “Board theme”

4. Choose your theme

If you have a free account, you can choose from the standard color theme selection. Premium users have access to all available Premium color themes.

One of the best things about color themes is that your selected theme is specific to your account. That means if your partner prefers a different theme, you can each see your shared Household boards in your own preferred colors! 

Match your family system

If you already have your own color-coded system in your home (for family calendars, kids, etc.), update your Pixie boards to match that same color code. This will help your mind more quickly associate your family information with your calendar!
